Birth chart rectification is a technique used to determine when a person was born, which is done by comparing important dates and facts about a person’s life with different potential birth charts to discover a time of birth. You cannot correctly calculate a natal chart without an accurate birth time to determine an individual’s correct rising. So yes, there are general things you can gain without a birth time, yet to have an accurate reading, time is of the essence. My approach to rectification is to identify central themes and events that have occurred within your life and then attempt to match them with possible charts. My goal is to determine the correct rising sign, narrowing birthtime within a 1-2hr time frame. I can narrow it down further in some cases, yet that is impossible in every case. I am currently only doing chart rectifications for people who have a general sense of what time of the day they were born and would like to have it narrowed down to the correct rising sign.
